    Prior to working with me in her role as Chief of Staff at Leap Tools Carmen had worked in biotech, printing, operations redesign, and even auto parts manufacturing. The diverse experiences and unique worldview she acquired across her career made her a great fit for what we needed - someone who knew how to get things done.

    She made quick study of our SaaS business model and was very effective at spotting inefficiencies in our systems and departments that were hindering our ability to scale. I have worked with six sigma black belts before but Carmen was a notch above even them. With her help in realigning the priorities of multiple departments and helping recruit new senior leaders, she had a tremendous positive impact on the organization.

I’ve had the privilege of working with Carmen in two very different chapters of my career - first as a colleague at Leap Tools, and later with the CPA as my client. From day one, Carmen impressed me with her professionalism, calm under pressure, and ability to think clearly even in the most challenging situations. At times it seemed she was single-handedly steering every major strategic initiative in the company, yet she managed them all.


Her leadership and guidance during that period inspired my own transition into operations, a path that brought us back together years later. At the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA), Carmen is again demonstrating why she’s such a force. Seeing her lead her team through transition and operational change has been a masterclass in mentorship, as she balances decisiveness with genuine care for the people she works with.
